Psychotherapy offers a professional, confidential and safe space to work through emotional, relational or life difficulties that are causing distress or getting in the way of your everyday wellbeing.

We work with a wide range of psychological difficulties and painful life circumstances — whether there is an existing clinical diagnosis or you are simply going through a period of distress, feeling stuck, facing conflict, or struggling to cope with certain experiences.

Treatment is tailored to each person. Depending on the difficulty, your personal history and your goals, we may draw on several evidence-based approaches, including:

  • EMDR therapy, particularly useful when past experiences continue to significantly affect the present.
  • Emotion-focused approaches, aimed at understanding, regulating and transforming emotional patterns that cause suffering.
  • Attachment-based interventions, to work through difficulties linked to relationships, emotional security, and the way we relate to ourselves and to others.
  • Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), aimed at identifying and changing the thought and behaviour patterns that keep the distress going.

The goal is never to apply a technique rigidly, but to build an individualised treatment that draws on whichever tools are most useful for understanding what is going on and bringing about meaningful, lasting change.

Psychotherapy can help with a wide variety of situations: moments of crisis, difficult or traumatic experiences, anxiety and mood disorders, relationship difficulties, loss and grief, self-esteem issues, stress, adjustment difficulties, or particularly complex life stages, among others. We also work with specialist expertise in Complex Trauma, Psychosomatic Disorders and Eating Disorders.

How we get started

The first sessions are for getting to know your current situation, your relevant history and your needs, agreeing on therapeutic goals together, and putting together a treatment plan suited to your particular case.
